May 15, 2022 UNSW has received New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant funding for certain locations in the Indo-Pacific to support Australian undergraduate students to undertake an exchange in the region. The grants are valued at $7,000 and eligible students are automatically considered for a grant as part of the exchange application process.

Applications for the New Colombo Plan Scholarship are hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and are open for a limited time period. Applications for the 2023 offering of the New Colombo Plan Scholarship are closed. Applications for 2024 are expected to open around April 2023.

Feb 26, 2021 UNSW students have participated in the program since it was founded in 2015. The program will be run virtually this year while travel restrictions are in place. Undergraduate students can study and partake in special projects and internships with 18 countries including India, China and Singapore.
Domestic students may be eligible for travel grants valued between $2000 and $3000 through the Australian Government New Colombo Plan Mobility Program. This is a competitive nomination process, and all applications are assessed on an individual basis.
International students currently undertaking one of the following qualifications need to apply for undergraduate courses through Universities Admissions Centre (UAC): an Australian Year 12 in or outside Australia; an International Baccalaureate Diploma; a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3.
The UNSW Global Business School Practicum is an intensive for credit course which provides undergraduate students the unique opportunity to gain international understanding, exposure and workplace skills through studying and working in a specified location overseas.
