Recognising the importance of Country, community, and culture, the strategy is first of its kind at UNSW. Led by Professor Megan Davis, Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous, the Indigenous Strategy provides an overarching framework for Indigenous education, employment and research.

Professor Megan Davis launched the Indigenous Strategy in 2018. Taking a holistic approach to Indigenous education, research, engagement and advocacy, the strategy strives to create a university environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples thrive and are empowered.

Our two keystone Indigenous pathway programs, the Indigenous Pre-programs and Indigenous Admissions Scheme (IAS) provide an alternative pathway to entry for prospective Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to UNSW.
