Stem Student Competition Sponsorship Program Chief Scientist

In 2022-2023, the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE) will again offer grants to teams of university students attending science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) research competitions. Grants are awarded following a competitive assessment process.

The STEM Student Competition Sponsorship Program (SSCSP) supports high-tech, high-impact research by NSW students attending domestic and international research competitions. Funding Funding will take the form of a cash contribution following the execution of an agreement between the applicant and the Department.

Eligibility criteria Sponsorship grants will be available for student competition research projects from January 2021 to December 2021. The competition may be located either within Australia or overseas.

Grants are awarded on an ad hoc basis until allocated funds are expended and are the primary mechanism by which funding will be awarded to eligible NSW high school students participating in STEM-related competitions, events or courses.
