Majors & Minors NUS Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences

Minors allow you to develop specialised knowledge outside of your major, and are less taxing than double majors in terms of workload requirements. Minors are offered by FASS as well as other Faculties, and students may apply for the following structured major-minor programmes at the point of admission to NUS.

Minor Programmes - National University of Singapore

A minimum of 16 units of the Minor requirements must be earned from courses read at NUS, unless indicated otherwise by Faculties/Departments for specific minors. Courses read at NUS include all courses taught, co-taught, supervised or co-supervised by NUS faculty member (s). These consist of graded courses or courses with an 'S' or 'CS' grade.

Majors - NUS Faculty of Science

FoS offers around 10 primary majors, and students will have the opportunity to plan their learning pathways based on their interests and career aspirations. To graduate, students would have to fulfil the requirements of at least one primary major. Students may also undertake a major with minor, double major and even a double degree programme.
